Interview with EX NISM Candidate Rakesh Kumar (Banking Employee)
The reason Mr. Rakesh gave the NSM exam because of the mandatory it has gotten and due to the promotion he’d get in the job, He had missed the 1st attempt and there were just a few days left for Mr.Rakesh’s promotion to be made else he’d lost the job so through Prof. Sheetal Mam’s guidance it got successfully cleared the NISM Series XV
Few Questions I asked him regarding how he’d manage the working & study schedule:
Why did you choose to pursue NISM RA exam first over other NISM series?
In the whole organisation it was mandatory for all the employees to pursue this exam and there were not anyother series the organisation was looking for
What is your next step after being a research analyst ?
The employes don’t have the next step , unless something isn’t made mandatory they don’t move ahead - similar case was with Rakesh Kumar . He cared about earning descent to get the life going. Few employees mindset has is stagnant at age 40 and doesn’t try to learn something new
As per your finance career, what critical insights will you give to NISM aspirants (who’re afraid of AI taking their jobs) ?
NISM should be pursued by students, it is a good advantage and the the early you do the better
More accounting related jobs that still involve manual labour that will still be there and though AI has come they won’t replace it completely.
TIP: Students pursuing BMS are partially confused whether to enter into marketing or finance. The recruiter doesn’t get the exact idea of whether they’re skilled in finance or not. So better they do BCom or BAF to get the profile completely into finance
Are you planning to pursue other finance certifications (CWM, CIFM, etc.)?
No other plans to take any certification (employee mindset - work & learn only that’s is needed)
